Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day, Hebrew: יום הזכרון לחללי מערכות ישראל ולנפגעי פעולות האיבה, lit.Israeli Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism Remembrance Day) is an Israeli national holiday.
This is where my daughter and I were when the sirens began at 8:00 this evening, just a few steps from our flat in Tel Aviv. This is her first Yom HaZikaron as a soldier.
