Game of Thrones art work

A Game of Thrones is the best show on TV in my opinion. Every Sunday night, I was always waiting for the show. And I am not a big TV show fan, but I do watch some shows like Rome, Tudors season I & II, and Deadwood.  Though I've never wait around to watch them. I will just wait to watch them whenever I want. But a Game of Thrones series are no doubt, the best series in a long time. And by far it is the best TV show of 2011. It was beyond well done and stay very very close to the book.

Eddard Stark was shown heavily in the show's marketing, and viewers who hadn't read the books fell into the trap of believing he was the show's protagonist. He was noble, powerful, and in a world filled with people whose motivations were twisted and obscure he seemed to be a genuinely good person. In fact, this was his fatal flaw: the idea that as long as he did the right thing with the right motivations, everything would be okay. By the time he was standing in front of the people, confessing treason, it was too late for him, and his beheading was shocking. Even in the book, as I read it I thought well he is the main hero for a long while and I did not expect him to be beheaded toward the end of book one. Well, A Game of Thrones is book one of the series called "The Song of Ice and Fire." The twist of the plot is painful, but brilliant. Book two is called "A Clash of Kings" and I am half way through it.

Those who haven't read the books - you really should. Sure it does get long winded talking about all the great houses, what everyone is wearing and what they're eating, but you will not find a better political drama anywhere. Combine that with just a touch of magic and you have one of the best fantasy series ever written. It is one of the best novels I've read. And still even if I finish book two "A Clash of Kings" and go on to book three, "A Storm of Swords", I still cannot wait to watch the season 2 on HBO.

BTW, I just did search on the internet for some really really old art work that I did for "Game of Thrones" via Fantasy Fight. I think it was like five to six years ago. I only scored a few pieces. Some of my work are also in the big art book "The Art of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire." You can still get them, I have one when it was published a long time ago.

Also if you want to see a painting video I did of Eddard Stark character go to Eddard Stark Game of Thrones for digital painting tutorial.
Below are some really old art work I did for the game series via FFG.  I think I could have done a better painting job now than then.  ;-)

I forgot how many pieces I did for the game series, there are many more I think.  But these are the set I painted and all I could find on the internet so far.  If you haven't noticed, they are all girls or females.  That was very much my main mission for the game series.  To design, draw and paint pretty ladies.  Enjoy! ;-)
