What is FACE?

The Face Painting Association was formed in 1995 so that like minded people could get together and share ideas and problems in order to improve standards and raise the profile of face painting. Members have to pass a certification test in order to join and this is to ensure that all FACE Members have reached a set standard of speed and competence.

FACE stands for Fast Accredited Creative Experts which means that anyone booking a FACE member can be confident that our high standards will be met.

FACE membership (and our insurance policy) covers the whole of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and this is borne out by our membership. We have well over one hundred members based all over The United Kingdom including Northern Ireland and The Isle of Man; but face painting can be a lonely world if you don?t count meeting hundreds of children and parents. All face painters wherever they are from, benefit from seeing each others work.

We have also created a network of highly skilled and professional artists and, so although FACE is not an agency, we have become a valuable resource to Agents and other members of the PR world.

FACE is a non profit making democratic association run by a committee elected from the membership, therefore, the Annual General Meeting is an important date and forms part of our annual conference, usually held in January.
